Thank you so much to all who came out last night to support my release of my new EP, Pick Me Up, at the Dakota. It was an amazing night! I was so impressed with the turn out. Such a great audience, and was so much fun to share all my new songs and sound with everyone. Here is a review/press release of the EP, I got from a local Twin Cities Website called Metromix:
Local talent Taylor Baggott specializes in the sort of breezy and slick folk-pop seemingly predestined for prime airplay on the likes of Cities 97. His latest EP, “Pick Me Up,” delivers on its title, providing a bevy of buoyant melodies and shiny sounds on its five tracks. This is the sound of professionals at work, and one glance at the liner notes reveals Baggott recruited some serious musical heavyweights to help shape the record, including famed Prince drummer Michael Bland and Jonas Brothers sideman Ryan Liestman.
Catch his CD release show at The Dakota Jazz Club tonight, or be prepared to hunt him down at bigger venues in the likely event his radio-ready sound catches on.
